Description

The staff of the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Nutrition Programs Unit is pleased to announce a hands-on, activity-based workshop for school nutrition professionals. This workshop is targeted to food service staff who struggle with meal pattern issues and will provide active sessions where participants can interact with MDE staff to resolve any issues that would result in findings during an Administrative Review.

The workshop format consists of a morning and afternoon workshop with various topics covered. MDE is allowing flexibility in the sessions to include additional information, if requested. There is no cost for the workshop. Note: This training is not a replacement for the 3-day School Meals Overview Training (SMOT).

To enhance the learning experience, it is highly recommended that attendees bring a laptop and a thumb drive. Group activities will provide the opportunity to save information that can be used in your operation.

Participants are welcome to attend a morning or afternoon session or both sessions if desired.
